Fairly challenging 55 mile road cycle ride in the Chilterns
This ride is organised by the gay cycle group CycleOut London as is open to members and guests may also try out the ride.
Ride mainly on quiet country lanes through the Chilterns involving numerous hills on route! Lunch stop at the Two Brewers in Chipperfield and Tea Stop at Sanuk in Little Heath
Travel Details: From Marylebone take the 10:30 train. Zone 6 Oyster Cards accepted. West Ruislip is also accessible on the Cental Line and bikes are allowed from White City. Alternatively Ruislip Station (Metropolitan and Piccadilly Lines) is 400 yards away and bikes are allowed unrestricted on the former and latter from Acton Town. The meeting point is the car park at West Ruislip Station. To get to the car park from the platform go up the stairs, turn right and come down the staircase at the far end. Interest wise I tend to spend a lot of time keeping fit, especially cycling, swimming and walking. I am also into the great outdoors generally, vegetarian cooking, reading (especially crime fiction) and music (especially rock/indie/jazz/pop) .
