Curve & Kiwi.fruit are "Theatrically Bent", London
21 August 2008: Curve & Kiwi.fruit are "Theatrically Bent"
quickfind:curve and I have theatrical leanings, and want to start a group with other OUTers who have a similar bent. So here it is: "Theatrically Bent".
Curve and I have been meaning to do this for ages - start a drama group for OUTers. Initially the plan is to get together and read texts, whether they are written by yourself, a friend, or published pieces.
It doesn't matter if you are an old hand at dramaticals, or a first timer on a whim, if we can get a fair number together we will make it a regular thing. Who knows, eventually we may even attempt a production.
You don't have to read if you don't want to - you might have a script or piece of prose you want to hear read out loud, or just to come along, meet some people, and take in the atmosphere.
As for pieces to read - any genre or style is fine. The length of pieces that can be read will depend on the number of people who have pieces they want read, so if you bring something along be a little prepared for only part of your piece to be read.
Do come on, join us. It will be fun, and an opportunity to stretch your dramatic muscles.
Sign yourself up here, and then Jude and I will sort a suitable venue nearer the time.

This event has been added to the OUTeverywhere calendar by Theoretically Bent from Walthamstow in the London area.
If I was an animal I'd be a wombat. If I was a car I would be unroadworthy. If I was a painting I'd be from Zürich Dada. If I was a drink I'd be a lager shandy. If I was a place I would be anywhere but Crewe. If I was a song I would be Xanadu.
