1 June 2008: Come Out & Walk : Barnton Cut & River Weaver
Come Out & Walk is a walking group for the gay community across the North West. Our next walk follows the course of the River Weaver between Acton bridge and Barnton, before following the Trent & Mersey Canal back. An excellent walk.
(PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
Come Out & Walk next walk follows the course of the river Weaver from Acton Bridge (see picture) east to Northwich, before lopping back along the Trent & Mersey Canal.
The route is about 8.5 miles long and is mostly flat in places, with only one or two graidents.
The walk should take about 4 hours in length, with a half an hour break for lunch and some historic information stops. Walkers are advised to bring a packed lunch, dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear for walking.
We will aim to have a pub stop at the Legh Arms at the end of the walk for those interested.
Times : 11:30 start time. Finish around 3:30pm
