9 December 2007: Come Out & Walk : Dunnockshaw Woodland (CANCALLED BIG SORRY)
Come Out & Walk is a group for gay men across the Northwest interested in walking and meeting new people. Our next walk is high above Rossendale at Dunnockshaw as well as encountering the Signing Ringing Tree, the events of WW2 and Witches of Pendle.

Come Out & Walk is heading up onto the hills above Rawtenstall & Burnley for a great walk around an newly formed woodland. Interesting features available to see include Pendle Hill, The Singing Ringing Tree and also in the distance Peel Tower.
The walk is about 8 and half miles and on the whole is on quite firm ground, but their are various gates and one or two stiles to negotiate. Also several factorial points of the area as well.
Walkers are asked to bring a packed lunch and dress suitable for the weather.
Please wear suitable footwear for field walking as well as town walking too.
We will aim to stop for a drink at The Cobblers in Rawtenstall for a drink after the walk if anyone is interested.
