5 August 2007: Come Out & Walk : Section 1 of the M,B,B Canal
Come Out & Walk is a group for gay men across the Northwest interested in walking. This walk, follows the first leg of the former canal which hosts interesting features and historical aspects of the small town of Bury.
Please read carefully.
The next Come Out & Walk event is following the first leg of the former canal from Bury to Radcliffe. This 7-8 mile walk includes both history and wildlife interest points along the way and well worth exploring at any time of the year. The route will take in the both the town of Bury and Radcliffe as well as the stretch of green belt between these two towns.
Walkers are advised to bring a packed lunch and to dress for the weather. The walk should take about 3 to 3 and half hours. Please wear suitable footwear for although their are few fields to cross, hard surfaces and dirt tracks will be the main pathways.
Walkers come on this walk at their own risk.
