Lots of OUTers helped out in 2006 with great success. Almost without exception everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Register your interest here without commitment and you'll get more information as it becomes available.
You can get general information on Pride London and the charity that organises it all on your behalf at www.pridelondon.org
I look forward to see you cutting a dash in a wonderful yellow or red t-shirt come June 30th.

UPDATE 26.02.07
I promised an update - the following has been sent to all marked as probable and definite as of today.
---
Hello All,
Thanks for marking your interest in Stewarding this years Pride London event.
Over the past 48 hours I have been sending out rather a lot of e-mails to our previous volunteers and registrants.
I repeat below the one that has gone to the majority of our previous volunteers. Whilst it might not match exactly your circumstances it'll give you an idea of what is going on.
Can I ask that after reading this you visit the Pride website and complete the registration, if you have not already done so.
Regards
Trevor

Original Email (26 Feb 07) follows:

A big thank-you for the part that you took in Europride last year.
First I start with an apology for the general nature of this message. It is going out all those that volunteered with us last year that according to our records have not been contacted so far about Pride London 2007. Apologies if this is not the case. Additionally if you have already been to the website and signed up for 2007 you will more than likely have received a very similar message from me as we have deliberately not yet merged our 2006 and 2007 databases.
Plans are advancing well for the parade and events later in the year and at this time we don't need to ask much of you.
But for now there is one demand to be made. If you are good enough to be volunteering for us again this year, can I request that you go to our volunteer page ( www.pridelondon.org/getinvolved/volunteer.asp ) on the website and register for 2007 if you have not already done so.
Once you have followed the automated responses you will be registered as a volunteer for this year's event and will receive updates from the volunteer team. Nearer the event we will be in touch with critical information for the day and invitations to appropriate training sessions.
We also intend to send a monthly update towards the end of each of March, April and May. These will inevitably have a sentence or two in them asking you to cajole your friends into stewarding for us as well. You can make a head-start on this by convincing them what good fun they will have, forwarding this message to them and asking them to register on the volunteer page ( http://www.pridelondon.org/getinvolved/volunteer.asp ).
If you have indicated that you are interested in volunteering in a role that does not involve stewarding we will endeavour to be in touch separately during March to give you more information.
Finally, on the page that you sign up on you will see mention of the Pride Privilege Card familiar to most of you. This year as usual we will be offering a similar card to all those that volunteer for us. I am starting my begging requests early here. If you have any friends, family or acquaintances that may be able to offer an appropriate reward to our volunteers please email me directly with suggestions, they will be greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to email any questions you may have, but please keep in mind that with the exception of one paid member of staff (not me) all of us are volunteers like you, so our speed of response might not always be at it's fastest (sometimes the day job just has to come first).
Regards
Trevor Edwards Volunteer Manager
