When does it become "right" to torture? Meryl Streep, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon lead in this timely film from the director of 'Tsotsi' about the balance between terror and freedom.

The frantic worry of Witherspoon's Izzy, the furious patriotism of Streep's Whitmore, the torn guilt of Gyllenhaal's Freeman and the genuine innocence of Metwally's Anwar pierce the screen as we wonder how we might respond in each of their precarious positions. It is only when you realize what very little choice is involved for any of them that the true horror of how helpless this war renders us becomes evident.'

I shall be in the cinema lobby from about 30 minutes before the scheduled start time, so that'll be about 6.40pm. Remember that Wednesday's can be busy (all those Orange people!) so please allow time for queuing.
