8 February 2008: Bright'n'Queer: Gay comedy night for Brighton Winter Pride
Bright'n'Queer is a fundraising night of the best LGBT stand-up comics, raising money for Brighton Pride, to keep the festival free. Compered by an Outer - and we can organise an Out table if people are interested!
Bright'n'Queer is a special fundraising night of the best LGBT stand-up comics, raising money for Brighton Pride. Held twice a year, to coincide with Summer and Winter Prides, it's one of the top gay & lesbian nights of comedy.
The line-up for the show on 8th February includes local comic Jaq Bayles, character comedy with Marty Love, the UK debut of top US comic Jade Esteban Estrada, and headline act and Bright'n'Queer favourite, Rosie Wilby. Resident compère (and Outer) Steve Bustin will be attempting to hold the whole thing together.
Doors 7pm, show 8pm. Tickets are just £6, with all profits going to Pride – our two shows last year made over £600 to help keep our favourite Pride festival free. Joogleberry Playhouse box office is on [number available to members only] 71. Both shows last year sold out well in advance, so make sure you book early to guarantee your seats.

Sane, sorted and switched-on guy, enjoying life in Brighton. I run my own small business, perform as a stand-up comic and sing with a gay choir. I live with my partner (who I met on Out many moons ago) and our dog. I'm as likely to be tending the garden as pounding a dance floor, or to be in a suit as in my leathers. Aren't contradictions wonderful?
