2 August 2007: Bright'n'Queer: Gay comedy night for Brighton Pride
Join us for Bright'n'Queer, a night of the best LGBT stand-up comics, raising funds for Brighton Pride - compered by an Outer!
Following the sell-out event during Winter Pride in February, lesbian & gay
comedy night Bright'n'Queer is back to celebrate Brighton Pride 2007. With
an all LGBT line-up of some of the best established and up-and-coming
stand-up comics, Bright'n'Queer promises another night of laughter as we
raise much-needed funds for Brighton Pride.
The February event sold out almost two weeks in advance, and the tickets
could have been sold three times over, so this event is bound to follow
suit.
Bringing back some of the crowd's favourite acts from last time, including
David Meech, Phil Dukes and Maddie Bridgett, Bright'n'Queer
will also be showcasing new talent from Brighton and beyond and as a special
treat, a rare UK appearance by San Francisco comedy star Pippi Lovestocking.
Keeping order and generally bouncing the night along will be
Bright'n'Queer's resident compère, Steve Bustin.
All the profits from the show will go the Pride, with all the performers
giving their time and talents for free.
Tickets £5: All profits to Pride
Box Office: [number available to members only] 71

Sane, sorted and switched-on guy, enjoying life in Brighton. I run my own small business, perform as a stand-up comic and sing with a gay choir. I live with my partner (who I met on Out many moons ago) and our dog. I'm as likely to be tending the garden as pounding a dance floor, or to be in a suit as in my leathers. Aren't contradictions wonderful?
