Monthly bowling session at Hollywood Bowl, near Surrey Quays and Canada Water, jointly organised by quickfind:johnm1974, quickfind:rob..29, quickfind:londontubedriver and my good self. This event is a social gathering rather than a serious competition, and usually attracts a good mix of regulars and newcomers of all abilities.
Admission to the venue is free. The cost for two games, including shoe hire, is £9.60 (though we can usually get a discount as some of us have discount cards). The venue and bowling lanes are wheelchair-accessible.
How to get there:
UNDERGROUND: Canada Water (Jubilee Line) is around 5 minutes' walk from the venue
OVERGROUND: East London Line to Canada Water or Surrey Quays then a short walk
BUS: routes 47, 188, 381, C10 and P12 stop close by, next to the leisure park. In addition, routes 1, 199 and 225 serve Canada Water
PARKING: there is plenty of car parking outside the venue, along with a few cycle stands.

+++ SPECIAL NOTE +++
Because of pressure of other commitments, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the organising team (John, Rob, Steve and me) to host the event. This month's event will be the last one that we are able to organise.
If anyone would like to take over hosting the event so that it can carry on, we'd love to hear from you. There's very little effort involved, it just requires turning up, collecting the money and generally making sure the event goes smoothly.
