A regular Buddhist meditation group. We discuss Buddhist matters, meditate and have a social time with tea, coffee and biscuits. Boys and girls welcome. THIS EVENING WE HAVE THE MONK, ALOKA BHIKKHU, TEACHING MEDITATION
The Gay (ect.) Buddhist Meditation Group has been meeting since January 2004. It is a regular event, usually at 18h15 on Thursdays. So far, there have usually been from about eight to twenty people attending.
The sessions are usually facilitated by Dirk de Klerk. The group has the guidance of the Tibetan teacher, Ringu Tulku. Every week will include a short structured talk, time to chat and discuss and guided meditation. Every talk will cover a different topic.
Kairos is a marvellous organisation for the welfare of the LGBT community, and depends on donations. £4 is what people usually pay.

Hi! Welcome to my profile for the Buddhist Group. I used to be a monk while doing a four year retreat at the Samye Ling Tibetan monastery in Scotland. Before that I'd been meditating within the framework of various Buddist traditions for years. I've been leading and facilitating different meditation groups and workshops since the retreat.
