Big Sing in Dorset, Charlton Marshall, Dorset
1 March 2008: Big Sing in Dorset
Celebrate the Close Chord with popular Dorset voice teachers, Gilo and Sarah, both on OUT. Make music in community, and community through music. Harmonies for all who enjoy singing their socks off! Bring your own voice.
Big Sing is for anyone who enjoys making harmonies. You bring the voices and we supply the va va voom! No need to read music or be a trained singer. Everyone can join in. The day runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Bring along something simple to share for lunch. And a bottle of water.
We'll be teaching a variety of songs from different cultures and traditions. There'll be some rousing Gospel, one or two tribal songs, some contemporary songs, and you can expect a variety of 'moods' - upbeat and high energy to gentle and meditative.
We lead workshops throughout the year in different parts of the UK. We're known for the fun and relaxed style we bring to teaching. There'll be humour and laughter through the day - as well as much fine singing. By the way, this isn't a gay/lesbian event as such - there will be heterosexual singers there too. But we're OUTies so the atmosphere will be a welcoming one for all who glow (gay, lesbian or whatever).
If you're interested in the day - send a reply to this invite.
Or email us: [email address available to members only]
Hope to see you there
Let's sing up a storm!
