September sees our third of three group visits to Shell Island, Europe's largest campsite. Come and join us for a weekend, long weekend or short week, or however long you want to stay!
September sees our third of three group visits to Shell Island, Europe's largest campsite. Come and join us for a weekend, long weekend or short week, or however long you want to stay!
Shell Island is Europe's largest tenting site and Britain's largest campsite, with around 300 acres of land.
Whilst these events are listed as starting on the Friday of a weekend, this isn't strictly true - as there are usually a few early arrivals - and always a load of late leavers!
So, come and stay for as long as you can.
If you've never been camping before, then this is a great opportunity to start.
The Shell OUT events are always very social and sociable; with camp fires lit every night and loads of guys and girls around to lend a hand pitching your tent.
The campsite has decent toilets, showers, supermarket and canteen-style restaurant, and Llanbedr's Victoria Inn is a great place to meet and eat early evening.

HOW TO FIND SHELL ISLAND? If travelling *up* the coast you will hit Llanbedr and just before a small bridge and the Victoria Inn pub is a road to the left. Turn here and follow the road to Shell Island. If travelling *down* the coast you will go through most of Llanbedr, taking a right turn immediately after the small bridge. Trains go direct to Llanbedr from Machynlleth, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and Birmingham. It's about a 3 hour drive from Birmingham.
