Abandoned by Indonesian fishermen on a deserted beach with the false promise of Perth a short bus ride away, a group of Cambodian and Iraqi refugees find they are far from civilization and stranded in harsh and inhospitable country.
Armed with only a less-than-detailed map, no food and little water, they are forced to overcome their cultural differences and band together in a bid to keep their freedom.
Lucky Miles tackles a controversial topic with empathetic compassion and healthy irreverence.
Winner of the Audience Award for best feature Sydney Film Festival 2007.
