Rainbow Hamlets, the Tower Hamlets LGBT Forum, have teamed up with the Tower Hamlets Local History Centre for an in evening in turns personal, thought-provoking, amusing and uplifting.
Join Roz Kaveney East End resident, trans Gay Liberation Front Veteran, respected human rights activist, celebrated poet, writer and journalist, science fiction guru and cultural commentator and critic in conversation with Jack Gilbert, co-Chair Rainbow Hamlets.
Enjoy Robert Thompson's entertaining look at the changing way the press of the last 100 years has represented LGBT people, both in the East End and nationally. He is chair of the Lesbian and Gay Newsmedia Archive (www.lagna.org.uk), which is based at the Bishopsgate Institute, Spitalfields.
