We are arranging for a bank holiday weekend picnic with an open air performance of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice.
An exceptional play with moments of profound suffering, staggering vengeance and curative mercy. All relationships come under the spotlight – family, friends and lovers - each are subjected to the injuries of money, hatred and justice and each restored by mercy, love and charity.
Cross-dressing, caskets and a ring ensure that all aspects of human nature are revealed as each character makes a leap of faith
I have reserved 10 tickets at £14 each (of which £1 goes to Nottingham Switchboard). In order to secure the ticketsI have to pay for them a month before the performance. This means I need to know if you want to go and to have payment by Friday 20 July at the latest. Please let me know ASAP if you would like to go and we can then arrange payment.
