Quick question regarding running a small business from home:

This is the scenario I want - having a part-time job for 2-3 days a week, with the rest of the time working at a small business idea I had taking commissions to make artwork. I would have a little website and have the occasional show for my work.

Now how would I sit in relation to tax and self-assessments and such? Do I just simply save 20% of whatever I make and pay at the end of the year or is it a lot more involved than that?
