Our company has just done a salary review and I have been allocated to a scale which I feel is totally unfair

Basically my role has been capped at £500 below the the next set of bandings

I work in the finance office but we are also a payroll bureau doing the payrolls for 100 different companies
The other part of the business is providing the Get Ready for work programmes and various other government programmes

The starting wage for these roles starts at £500 above the top banding of my role but goes up to £5000 above
I have tried arguing my case but know that I will get nowhere as the Finance Manager and he other managers went through a similar review and her role was deemed to be lesser than their role

I am just so pissed off at moment and its probably the wrong time to change but I know I am going to be very frustrated
In some ways it is not the money it is more the fact that our role is not recognised within the company

Any increase in my salary would just result in my working families tax credit, housing benefit etc going down but in a couple of years that will not matter when I am no longer eligible so feel that if I am going to stay with the company I need to sort it now or move on
