in my company we have a group where we meet every two weeks to discuss about any changes or news that the company gonna do, we just had re-elections and i have stayed on and being the only one of two people who was on it last year (the other one was chair), all the other 8 are new. the present chair decided she no longer wants the position so everyone in our first meeting decided i should go for it, and everyone agreed that they were happy with me doing this, well the present chair went back and told the store manager that i was interested. he called me up to say that even though i was to be the chair i needed his approval even though i was voted on, he said he had issues with me not shaving enough, fair enough i told him i cant shave every day due to my eczema he took that on board and told me what he would expect from me, which i was happy with, this was last week and today he said if i given it thought and i said yes i still like to go for it. well he said he wasnt happy for three reasons, and dont want me to be chair. three reasons are: 1. my un shaveness 2. im not the right person 3. apparently i broke the confidential agreement last year well this is the first i heard of this and said to him i dont know what hes on about. well i went back to the chair to find out what i meant to done wrong well my line manager meant to told me about it last year well he didnt so i asked her what it was and she cant even remember so here i have it, i done something wrong that i suppose to know, that not even the chair knows what i done, but she has told the store manager that i have broke the confidential agreement, im really pissed off one minute im being voted on the group as chair, and next the manager dont agree with this, this isnt fair. does anyone know what i should do?
