I'm looking into my job options after being out of work for some time. The minimum I would like to get is £7.50 an hour.
What kind of job would have have to look for? I do speak 2 languages, which are German and Dutch, next to English of cause.

if you speak them fluently get with an agency and do some interpreting ... those guys can make upto £40 an hour, and yo can fit it around another job too

You ought to write a list of your skills, what jobs relate to them and what you feel your experience could lead you to.

Perhaps then go around a few agencies to give them your cv and take it from there!

Also your Jpb Centre should provide you with support with this.

Incidently I was earning £8.50 an hour at M&S in the head office through Office Angels in 2000!

So £7.50 ought to be attainable.

Good luck mister!

Well, being German of origin and having lived 10 years in the Netherlands, makes it pretty fluently. Might be a bit rusty with a few words, but that's quickly overcome by practice. So definitely will be looking into that one.

Also great advice, I already started to think about that myself.

I don't think there would be a problem getting £7.50 ph for even quite a low grade temp job in central London.

If you can type reasonably well and have any kind of admin or secretarial experience you should get a fair bit more.

With agencies my advice would be try a good variety, small one-man-bands are often good if the staff take a liking to you, but also try a few of the high street names too, and register with as many as you have the energy to do. I say that because registering is now quite an arduous process due to new legal requirements re identity and references etc.
