A topic from Work & Money: Employment

Dear sages of Out ...

The bf is a junior reporter with a local newspaper - and while he enjoys most working days, he ends up writing filler pieces to order, or doing reviews for movies he's never seen, or interviewing people about sports he knows nothing about - and he's had enough.

On top of that he's not well paid and has a 90minute commute either way with irregular public transport.

The long and the short of it is that its time to look for new work.

He's into music in a big way - he's written for regional music fanzines and community magazines (freelance), he has his own weekly alternative pop dj gig at a Leeds club (and this night was featured in Gay Times as a great night out, and this year it was nominated as best gay club night in Leeds), and he was featured in the regional gay press as well.

All good and fine - but what he'd really like to do is get into music features writing.

Any suggestions?
