photoPeople don't believe me that I'm shy face-2-face, despite being cheeky on Forums. Orginally from the West Country, but been living in Reading for 16 years. I tend to be a bit of a workaholic, but I've learnt my lesson and getting out more and relaxing, thanks to good friends. I am into the arts & crafts, doing & seeing, including theatre, cinema, etc. Joined OUT for both Gay Male & Female friends.

I have an interview for a 'Co-ordinator of Training for Staff involved in Social-Care' coming up in the end 2 weeks, where I have to give a 10 minute presentation on:

'HIGHLIGHT THE CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN PROVIDING TRAINING TO SOCIAL CARE STAFF THROUGHOUT THE INDEPENDENT AND VOLUNTARY SECTOR.

PLEASE CONSIDER THE NATIONAL SOCIAL CARE TRAINING / WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AGENDA'

I am up for Redeployment, as I am Displaced Person following a Staffing-Review, therefore my job does not exist any longer. I have been working in the Highways Section for the last 12 years till this review, but did work in Youth & Community for 3 years prior to that (I had to move to Highways following a result of another Review). So I have little / no knowledge in this area, and because I have now less than 2 months to accept another job within the authority I am desperate to find employment before I am jobless, so I welcome any help on this subject.

Can any OUTers point me in the right direction where to look for ideas for this presentation??

Any help greatly appreciated.

When I did my presentation for a post of an Equality and Diversity Officer at a university I concentrated on the similarities of independent and policy lead care with a E&D bias.

I think you will get more out of the presentation, and also those you are presenting to if you take it from an objective viewpoint. I can dig out my powerpoint presentation and send it to you as an example if you like.
