There seem to be a range of viable options here, of which inviting the whole of OUT for a party is the best, and putting it away after one glass is the worst

There is no "Throw it away: Rose is fowl!" option.

quoting > "fowl"

my spelling has gone to pot recently. I meant foul. Anyway, if you must drink it, drink the entire bottle! You only live once.

Get some hot lad round to have the other half with... but then politely show him to the door.

We don't do naughty things on first dates on OUT!!!

Now if this were gaydar... you'd be snogging after a mouthful, and when the bottle was empty you'd be using it as a sex toy!

Rosé is an interesting type of wine for the way people react to it. It's often sneered at and considered inferior but it actually has a real place in drinking culture. Apart from pink Champagne, you don't really get vintage rosé wines. But that doesn't necessarily make them bad. Many, such as rosé d'Anjou and Mateus rosé are excellent aperitif wines. They also go well with cold salad-based meals, often eaten alfresco, such as prawn salad. And for an informal meal, where no one is expecting the highest class of wine, rosés are a good compromise between white and red.

One other great thing about rosés is that they're often less alcoholic than either red or white wines. So, go on, drink the lot ...or invite me over to share it!
