photoLooking to build friendships in the York area. I'm happily in a relationship but would like to broaden my social circle. I'd like to find walking buddies for trips to the countryside for rambling or hiking - or just find similar guys and gals for socialising. Say hi - I won't bite... :o)

I have come steadily to the conclusion that people manning online customer service desks (i.e. answering problems on emails) have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

Last year I had endless problems with PayPal when I requested that they reset my password. The matter went unresolved after months of exchanges and only when I had a new bank card could I register it and thereby rejoin the eBay world etc.

Lately I've been having trouble with HMV. Yes I forgot my password (I have 12 to remember at work and countless ones online at home) and asked them to reset it & unlock the account.
Firstly they said I didn't have an account.
Secondly they asked for my address & name.
Thirdly they asked for proof of an old order.
Finally they responded with a jolly email telling me they'd helpfully cancelled that order. (What purpose this would serve, I have no idea...)

And still they won't unlock the account...

Is it worth it or should I nurse my frayed nerves with red wine and go elsewhere to shop?

I had the same problem with HMV, they just seemed to cancel my order for no resaon!

The worst for online customer service are the bank''s, except First Direct they really do what they say on the tiin! Cahoot are really bad and don't know anything!

If your having problem remembering password's, you might want to consider purchasin Flex Wallet (do a google search for it) I use it to remember all my passwords from my bank details to website passwords. it's a great piece of software and reasonbly priced. That or consider using Notes in Outlook (although the later is quite a security risk)
