OK. Our company has about half a dozen sites round the world, but HQ is in San Jose. My boss and his boss both work in SJ too.
It is decided to roll out a new means of having users connect to the Unix servers about 6 months ago. There are IS meetings where IS in SJ tell us what will be done.
I suggest that we need to rethink a little because with their proposed solution if X happens then Y will result making it unusable, and explaining that X will happen and I know this because we've seen it with our own eyes, and could we not change the solution slightly to overcome that.
Their response? "We've never seen that. It's staying this way".
Fast forward to now. It has been deployed in a site and works reasonably. We are testing it here because it is to be deployed in a fortnight.
As predicted, X does indeed happen causing Y making it unusable. We test our originally-proposed tweak and it works well.
With the help of our users I document this and report back to the boss and boss's boss, explaining what is happening, showing what is happening, and asking if we can deploy our suggested tweak.
And what does the fucking cocksucking wanker of a moron do?
Replies saying it works because they tried it at ONE of their US sites, therefore we are going ahead with their proposal.
FUCKTARDS.
This is the boss and boss's boss who made a point of saying that he values the technical input from the IS teams round the world (which includes yours truly).
Yet here we are presenting him a documented technical report, and he simply ignores it.
The stupid dumbshit godamnned motherfucker (as the Offspring so eloquently phrase it).
Why do such braindead, lying sacks of shit rise so fucking high in a company?
And, more importantly, do you think I can get away with flying over there and shooting the fucker?
