**BEWARE ALERT** - ** MOAN COMING UP **

I had a WONDERFUL day in London yesterday, and caught the train back to Reading. The train was going from Paddington to Plymouth. There were loads of seats that had been pre-booked and there were loads the normal white ticket things placed on the backs of the seat. As I was walking down a few carriages I noticed that alot of these were between these two destinations, ie getting on at Paddington and getting off at Plymouth.

Can someone please explain to me, why oh why do they place these on the seats NEAREST the aisle. There were very rarely two tickets next to one another, so there were rows of single tickets all lined up one after another in the seats futherest away from the window.

Why not put the person who is travelling the whole route nearest the window. Because they will not be disturbed for the whole journey, can appreciate the view (I know that is hard at night, but they can sleep in peace). Some bastards who had found their pre-booked seats would not get let someone else into the seat (not booked) nearer the window OR they believed as they had prebooked the seat they were seatting in they had an automatic right to put their stuff on the other seat and not move it. ALSO some people with prebooked seats could not be bothered to find their booked seats and were sitting in the seats that were not pre-booked, therefore reducing evenmore the number of seats that were available. They could have either found their seat and sat in it, or found it and removed the ticket saying it was reserved.

Am I the only one thinking this is a stupid way to co-ordinate the placing and allocating of the booked seats???? What are other peoples thoughts?
