Yesterday I went to the local rail station to renew my network rail card and enquire ahead of time about some journeys I want to make and the fares available. It was a busy time but the ticket office was closed. This station has electronic barrier gates but there were still 2 guys standing by the gates, one in a security uniform and one in a BR uniform, monitoring those passing through. The BR guy started to answer my question about tickets but halfway through referred me to the ticket office (closed) when he started getting a bit unsure. |
