OK I admit photoshop is one of the greatest photo manipulation tools there is. Its very clever.

But its also the most irritating invention in the whole world. Instead of having a nice selection of photos in a variety of places we now have people who post the same photo 20 times with differnt filters on because somehow letting an application do all the work for you is "arty" and "cool".

I often think someone looks handsome and pretty god looking, so why on earth are all their photos blurry or mock pencil drawing or solarised!?

It's a very Gaydar thing to do.

Especially the one where they have their photo in Black and White with their eyes done in some sort of colour.

That one really annoys me.

They think it makes them look arty. I think it looks like they need to get out into the sun and goto the GP about the weird conjunctivitis they have.

quoting > "It's a very Gaydar thing to do."

Oh come on, at least on Gaydar they use photoshop to add a couple of inches to their cock, though it must be oddly deflating when you meet said people for real.

I love Photoshop - its a great tool :D.

But I'm selective in my usage - you'd not know (hopefully....) that my photos are post-processed thru it.

And I never use the funny filters - unless I had a *real* reason to do so (and so far I haven't!).

However I can remove things from photos (I once got rid of a whole family who were ruining a nice shot I had of Concord at the Museum of Flight - mwuahahahahahahaha)

Photoshop 'filters' are really pretty lazy... just getting a process overlaid on your current pic. Not really showing an outward artistic aesthetic, just lumbering through a program and being impressed by the results.

I prefer Corel Painter. It requires a bit more 'art' and actually doesn't just blanket-process stuff. It makes your pics look a bit more like 'art', because it makes it look like watercolour, pencils, pastels, etc.
