tiscali did the same to me a couple of years ago...they failed to take the money from the DD, failed to inform me or write to me...they just sent the bailiff....even the bailiff thought that they had made a mistake in not contacting me.... |

Just pay what for what he's used, terminate the contract and switch to a different supplier. If it's two years since he started, he'll be out of contract anyway. No point geting het-up about stuff like that, just sack them off. |

I am not sure about the legal issues, but if he can't pay up and the bailiffs show up, MAKE SURE HE DOESN'T LET THEM IN, because he is not obliged to do so. See this page from the CAB for more info. |
