Oh dear. Music really IS shit these days isn't it?

Let me premise this little thread/rant with some sugar first:

I *like* the Wanted. All Time Low was an alright single, I listen to GayDar Radio at work so got pummelled with it on a regular basis.

Then they released Heart Vacancy and I was hooked, a few semi-clever puns in the lyrics about 'don't disturb' and 'i don't care who was there before' was all it took to make a song stand out from the usual repetitive dross.

I'm even liking 'Lose My Mind', almost romanticised it with how a man can take physical punishment but not deal with emotional pain.

Then... I watched the Lose My Mind video on youtube.

5 guys poncing around a fun fair over gesticulating to the camera and annoying the HELL out of me! This is a song about the juxtaposition of emotional and physical strength! Not a ballad version of "Our House!"

Now I'm entirely lost, I can't possibly think positively of the boys again because their on-screen presence was so cringeworthy!

If only I'd left them as faceless Gaydar Radio auto-tuned men. <sigh>

Have any of the rest of you guys got anything to add?
