I,m a big fan of Jazz funk music from the 70s 80s 90s.I use to go to the straight clubs to hear the music.
My faves artists are Roy Ayers,Donald Byrd,Incognito,Ronnie Laws,Brand New Heavies,Norman Connors,Lonnie Liston Smith etc.
There must be other men and women who love this music.I cant be the only one!!!!!!!

Thanks

Ah!!! No! Sorry, completely off topic I know but "jazz funk" just reminds me of being a youth in Sutton in the mid 80's. Me and my mates were "alternatives" or probably known as indie kids of the day and listened to Echo & the Bunnymen, The Smiths, New order etc.

On a Satuday afternoon we used to have no end of run-in's with the "Sutton Soul Patrol" who wore waffle trousers, those shoes with tassles on them, white socks, and burgundy leather hunter jackets. There was loads of 'em at my school who listened to Roy Ayers, Azymuth etc. One of my customers had me in stitches a few months back when we started talking about this. He was in the "Sutton soul Patrol" and told me they used to have big punch-ups with the "Mitcham Funkateers" on who ruled the South London jazz-funk scene.....

Sorry, I had to share that with you, carry on ;-)
