I've had a busy easter but have noticed how its colder than most.

Well the reason became clear today, While visiting Newark Part NT property they had an Easter Triva note laying around most of the the rooms.

It said the last time easter wast this early was in 1918 so most of you prob wont remember. The next time its this early is 2228 in 220 years time! (Easter is the first weekend after the third full moon after xmas or something like that!

I also remember visiting Newark Park last year at easter around the 9th April and it was T shirt weather most of the day until the evening!

So now you know!

The Western Church celebrates Easter on the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the Spring equinox which happens on the 20th or 21st of March(which is why Easter can never be earlier than the 22nd March)

The earliest Easter can be is 22nd March.

Its date is determined as the Sunday after the first full moon on or after the vernal equinox (generally taken as 21st March), therefore if the full moon is on the 22nd and that is a Sunday, that's Easter.
