My Mum lives in Hythe in Kent and she was caught up in the earthquake - she was ok and so was her house but some friends of hers lost some crockery and someone's roof came off! Someone else she knew was in their car on a train in the Channel Tunnel when everything went dark and apparently it was pretty scary. What's interesting me is - what caused it? My knowledge of Geology is a bit fuzzy but I didn't think there were any faultlines near this country. Does anyone know what caused it? And does anyone have any interesting stories about the earthquake? |
