Next week I get my quarterly bonus from work - I've been a bloody good boy over the last 3 months so my boss has given me about £500 extra.

So I'm at last tempted to purchase one of Sony's little black boxes. However, I read that the 60Gb is going to phased out and that there's possibly an 80Gb version heading our way?

So my question is - is it worth grabbing a 60Gb version now?

I very much doubt that I'll be downloading music, films etc ( even though I do have wifi in the house) from Sony Home and so memory isn't going to be a problem with me...

I know the 60g has backward capability, but surely playing a PS2 game on the PS3 is a bit...pointless? Surely I could just remain playing those on my PS2 and save myself some cash?

Basically what I want to know is, is the 60gb worth the extra £50 or so?

I'm a bit confused.

I'd personally go with the Xbox 360 - more games and it's cheaper
