Simple yet complicated. Easy going but uptight. Smiley but serious. Friendly but aloof. I'm just a walking contradiction really but if you can put up with that I'm sure we'll get along fine.

What TV series would people recommend to give a go at a decent price on DVD?

I've watched and enjoyed 24, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Heroes, Pushing Daisies, Damages, X-Files and Sex and the City if that gives anyone an insight into my tastes.

I'm currently working my way through Without a Trace series 1 and despite enjoying it it's not a must watch and I don't feel inspired to get series 2. I gave up on Lost after series 1 and Alias after series 3.

I'm sure there are plenty of good series that have slipped the net and are worth investing in the DVD boxset so what would you recommend me giving a try?
