Does anybody watch Loose Women?

If I'm at home while it's on at lunchtime I will switch it on as it can be quite entertaining.

Today however I was watching it and was a little annoyed by Coleen. I was just surprised at her attitude.

They had a discussion on whether or not gay couples should be allowed to have children and her view was that "if they decide to follow the gay route, they give up their right to have children". And her reason for having this point of view was "just think of what the children will have to put up with at school".

And this coming from a woman who's divorced. I don't suppose all that made her children very happy either.

I thought that she seemed like a good laugh from what I've seen of her on LW, but this has changed my view of her. Thing is, I googled her name and it appears this isn't the first time she's expressed her views about this on LW.

It's because of people with attitudes like hers that kids have a difficult time at school. Yes, children can be cruel, but they're also the most accepting of people and if they're around gay people/parents they are more likely to embrace the idea than if they're not.

I'm not planning on having children myself anyway, but like one of the other women on the show (it was Jane Mcdonald, in fact) said, some people are better at parenting than others and some gay people would make far better parents than many of the straight parents around these days.

Coleen's attitude is so bigoted and old-fashioned.

What dyou think?
