This is a single option poll: "I'm not asking you about the posh crackers from Waitrose and Marks and Spencer here. I mean the ones we had when we were kids, that had a little plastic something falling out of them, along with the rubbish joke, and oh-so-thin crepe paper hat. Most of the time these little toys weren't up to much, I know. Every now and then, though, you'd find a little gem of a thing. Which was / is your favourite?"

But the finest was ALWAYS the fortune-telling fish.

I kept the last one I 'won', it's in my wallet.

Brilliant! I've been racking my brains trying to think of nine different cracker toys. The moustache definitely should have been in the poll!

Those strange plastic lips were always amusing too.

You did an amazing job. I'm not sure I could figure out 9 of my own.

Though supremely naff, there's something far more fun about cheapo crackers/toys than those fancy ones. Sure, a pen or a silver-framed mirror is very swishy, but for the cost of them - you're better off just buying the things you want and not risk the chance of being lumbered with a faux-pearl bracelet.

Bring on the fish/moustaches/mini-deck of cards!
