Now, I know the plight of this chap is rather bad; he had to have his lower leg amputated after his foot got infected and went bad. But now he is to sue a cruise ship operator because of the damage done to his feet and, ultimately, one of his legs.

What did he do?

He went on a cruise ship holiday to a very hot part of the planet. He chose to go sunbathing on the deck that was labelled the sunbathing deck. He stepped on some metal parts of the deck. His feet got stuck to the scorching metal.

He is suing because the cruise ship failed to have signs indicating that parts of the deck would be very hot. On a sunbathing deck. In the sunshine. In a very hot place.

No wonder it's impossible to have fun these days because everywhere is banning anything entertaining in case STUPID PEOPLE sue them. Why can't we just lock up all the stupid people and send them to an island to play with themselves?

After all, if there's blame there's a claim - particularly where it's your own stupidity it seems.
