Stupid franchise change!

duncanTue 13/11/07 19:23		Well I went to have a look at train tickets down to London for the party. But the stupid arses that are the Dept. of Transport have decided to change the GNER franchise that weekend. So I can't find cheap tickets - I can kinda get cheap ones from GNER to come down, but National Express don't seem to have the east coast trains up on their site yet (or I just can't see it). So taking the train is costing a fortune - and even more than flying! Which is just silly - as I kinda like taking the train. Boo!

And yes - tried the trainline and qjump - both just give the standard return tickets, instead of the GNER Advance tickets (or whatever they are going to be called with the new one) grumble

rsndll_bobTue 13/11/07 19:32		Just a stupid as what has now happened to the old Silverlink services into Euston. The good news is that you can use Oyster cards at Watford Junction, the bad news is that you can only then travel on the slow trains that take over 50 minutes to get to London rather than the fast ones that take under 20 minutes.
