I don't know if it's just local to us, but Northern Rail is running a buy-one-get-one-half-price offer on all local service return tickets at the moment. |

They've nicked this idea from SNCF. French railways have been operating this scheme for a long time particularly on the TGV's, Thalys and Corrail routes. |

The couple doesn't need to be living together though - it could be two mates, work colleagues etc. |
