I have just booked a flight to Sardinia in late May for 5 days. I made a decision to have a holiday by myself and see how I like it. Just the few times I have been on holidays the people I have gone with are really demanding and does my head in.. |

I loved Cagliari and visitted last september with gay mates. We stayed in a straight guesthouse right in the middle of town, friendly and helpful, plus it was on the street where many good restaurants are to be found. The beach is a 15 minute bus ride out of town - I think it would be too quiet to stay in that district. Stay in town and have the best of both worlds. Cagliari is dominated by a historic citadel beautiful and historic by day and fabulous at night when it turns into a huge open air disco bar. 90% straight but every queen in town is there - look for the open air bar at the back with the very beautiful waitress they all gather round her.Friendly crowd you just have to be a bit extravert and they will introduce themselves - in immacualate English of course. There is a gay club called Heaven but its only on saturdays. We took the bus to Algherro in the north after a few days and did not regret it - superb campsite right on the very beautiful beach and another lovely citadel full of wonderful restaurants. |
