photoSo in 75 words sum myself up? Well I am an ordinary hard working bloke. I love music especially live shows and theatre, dvds, cooking and quiet drinks out. Love the outdoors horse riding, gardens and photography. As one friend stated recently....... "Its not a case of you loosing the plot Biggles,, You never had it in the first place!!!" I think thats a fair comment.

I recently purchased tickets to go and see Cirque du Soleil at Birmingham's NIA.
I accepted the tickets were expensive - over £50 each but then had to pay £5.50 booking fee (per ticket) and then a transaction fee of £1.50.

I mean Im sorry but thats just rediculous.
I was informed that this was because I was using a credit card to buy my tickets (I wasnt I used switch)
Then I was told it was to post them out (postage is only 40p)
Then I was told it was to offset booking office costs - hello isnt that what the actual booking fee is for???

Anyone else hacked off with these ticket taxes??????

I think it actually needs to be investigated by someone as it is getting worse and worse.

Yep.... I paid to take my family to see the pantomime at the Arts Theatre in Cambridge, cost me £250

then I was told would be a £13.50 booking fee on top of this and they wouldn`t even post the tickets out as they say its for security.

I made a fuss on the phone, but can`t remember the reason I was told somthing about the costs having to be kept seperate from the ticket price. I was obviously not alone as when we went to the panto there was signs up everywhere about booking fees.

Yes but Piddy who the hell would investigate this ??
I mean who can you complain to other than the ticket company or the venue and then risk being barred from buying tickets to future shows
