Wonder if anyone could help me solve a problem i am having with my PS2 analogue controller.
If i want to type my name in i am unable to as the icon is continually moving on the screen.
I was wanting to play my snooker game earlier on but the snooker room was just revolving, meaning i was unable to take any shots,as it wasnt staying still.
It appears to be a fault with the directional buttons.
The screen i have on at the moment (Edit name) has the square covering the letter, only it is just whizzing through the alphabet from left to right continuosly.
I have unscrewed the controller since to see if there was any dirt that might be affecting it,but there wasn't.
Does anyone know what maybe causing this to happen,to be fair i have had it 3 to 4 years so maybe its time to buy a new one!

by the sounds of it, its a problem with your controller, hit it, hard, against something hard. if that dont work then leave it for a long long time until it forgets its broken or get a new one.

There will be something wrong inside it that is telling it the directional button is pressed down when its not.

I've had mine for about 8 yrs, it was one of the first ones out. Was a hand-me-down from my bro, who got it played on it for a month then sold me it. Had so many great games for it, but the other month it would not even turn on, the light was on, on the power button but that was it, nothing happened. Soooo annoyed! Got controllers & games i can't use now unless i fork out for a new one....
