Bearing in mind I've never heard of the company and have no idea whether an 8ms response time is good or bad...
possFri 20/07/07 17:17		Hanspree are very well regarded in LCD screens. Ours is excellent.
toberodiFri 20/07/07 17:30		I've had a look, and it's very nice! Just two very minor quibbles: • only one HDMI input (though it does have an additional component video). If you want to connect more than one HD thingy, this is something to think about • 450cd/m2 is not the brightest screen out there. It'll be fine though, unless you've got a really brightly lit living room.

#202651Fri 20/07/07 18:12		One other thing to watch out for - the contrast ratio is only 750:1. The contrast ratio is basically the difference between the lightest and darkest colours that it can display. You want as high a contrast ratio as possible to get sharp definition between the light and dark areas on the screen - some TVs have a contrast ration of 8000: 1 or even higher, so 750:1 for this model isn't great. It's not bad for the price - but it's a case of only getting what you pay for.
bolly1Fri 20/07/07 18:22		It is old technology for cheap, or not so cheap - as it is that dated. Hannspree are famed for making novelty televisions.
