photoI love God with all my heart. That is what Sagittarius is about. That and travel. But church is not working for me. As christianity and astrology and reincarnation dont really go together. And then I became a Vegetarian who meditates! I would get burnt on the stake for what I believe and then churches ask me to leave... I have discovered some cool stuff relating to God - An ancient path. Would love to talk

I stumbled across this word recently. I am to believe it has to do with a Coded Sacred Name of God from Exo 14:19-21.

Is there anyone who has more details about this Sacred Name and it invocation?

The Shemhamphorash is made up of 72 syllables. Apparently, it is derived from Exodus 14:19-21, in which each verse has 72 letters. The first verse is written from right to left, the second from left to right, and the last from right to left. Starting from the right and reading downwards, 72 syllables of three letters each can be made. Placed together, this results in what was supposed to be the most powerful name of God. The Shemhamphoresh was also considered to be 72 individual names. By taking each three-lettered syllable and adding either "-ael" (-AL) or "-aih" (-IH), 72 angelic names were created, each angel carrying within itself the name of God .

I have not found much more info about this. I would love to study it.

Thanks

Len

I found a good website with this study, and also some good info in the 6th and 7th Books of Moses. Although I found quite a few spelling errors and discrepencies in the Books of Moses.

This is an excellent link for the study and magical application of each of these names.

Scholem aleichem Len,

Depending on how you feel about the teachings of the Kabbalah Centre (as visited by the Richies and Beckhams) you might want to have a look at their book on the subject. I think it's called "The 72 Names of God."

In the book, each of the 72 three-letter sequences is listed, along with the powers attributed to it. The sequences are not really supposed to be pronounced as literal "names" but are more in the nature of I Ching hexagrams or the letters of the Ifa oracle, describing certain energy currents. By writing a sequence and meditating with it as a focus, as if repeatedly "reading" it from right to left like an actual Hebrew word, you are supposed to be able to draw on that aspect of God.

An example of this which is easy to remember is the sequence "Yod-Yod-Yod" which is for invoking the energy of banishing "toxic" people from your life. There are also triads for things like banishing negative vibes from an area, breaking the hold of obsessive thoughts, healing, and (of course!) getting the best out of your sex life.

The Kabbalah Centre has also published a deck of meditation cards with the 72 names on them, to make it easy for you.

Additionally, in the Golden Dawn tarot system, each of the 36 Arcana Minor from two through ten in the four suits is attributed with two of the names, although in this case they are considered as literal names of angels. (The "Yod-Yod-Yod" angel is named "Yeyayel" - i.e. Yod Yod Yod + Aleph Lamed (the "-el" ending.)

Hope this helps!

Hello Tony

I actually got the book a few months back. But found it did not help with the actual pronounciation. I would have apprectiated the vowels.

I found a good article with the info today and printed it out.
I will look at the Minor Arcana. That sounds like a good one to explore too.

Thanks for the reply.

Blessings, Light and Love
