Okay everyone,

United we stand, Divided we fall.

Lets all stand together and take action Oil has hit $146 now and we need to cut the Duty as it is crippling the UK's Industries and also making alot of people unemployed.

Please sign up to the forum on www.demodomain.org.uk and help take a stand. Cause if we don't stop this now it will get very very bad in the next 6 months.

Can you really afford to sit around waiting for something to happen, Food Bills to increase, Gas/Electricity Bills go through the roof. You lose you job due to employers cost.

I know their must be a few taxi drivers on here who support this after all Driving is your lively hood.

Or we might think that fuel is grossly underpriced, given that it is running out and it causes huge amounts of pollution.

Especially given that this is addressing the general motorist.

No, we need to reduce our insane dependence on a finite and rapidly-dwindling resource.
Simple as that.

Otherwise all you do is hasten the depletion of oil without having any backup plan in place then we are totally fucked.

Sticking your head in the sand will not solve the issue.
Demanding pointless duty reduction will not solve the issue.

That was for the 14 June protest, this is the 19 July. And I am sorry alot of you feel so small and narrow minded on this issue. We are all being deceived by the government and the OIL Companies fuel/oil is going to last for at least another 150 years.....

You mean the link which shows the overall global reserves total 65 years?

A long way from your mythical 150 years...

So, you are quite content to have the world's oil run out in 65 years just so YOU can get cheaper petrol?
How pathetically short-sighted of you.

i think you're flogging a dead horse here.

You got a luke-warm/bad response to your last thread, yet still you persist.

Don't you understand that people on here are more interested in finding ways to stop using oil, rather than making it so cheap that people use more of it?

As for the protest - yes, lets all inconvenience everyone else by causing major hold-ups and traffic jams, and in the process use more petrol and pollute the environment more, with all those thousands of cars idling away with their engines running and no-where to go.

Give it up mate, the way forward is alternatives to petrol. not using more of it.

If taxi drivers are suffering, then they'll have to put their prices up.

Hopefully, with it being more expensive, those that don't really need to use a taxi will jump on public transport instead.
