New glasses!

This is all going to be very self-indulgent. But like the ad says, I'm soooooo worth it! No, really, I am!

I've just come back from a surfing week down in Devon, and while I was there I lost my glasses. I haven't got a clue what happened to them. I really liked them too: they were a very simple frameless pair; nice and subtle. This is what they looked like: photo:482031

At them moment I'm back with my old spare pair, which are slighty round with black frames: I look like Harry Potter. Not good. So: it's off to the opticians' this week to sort out something new!

What I'd like your help with is advice on what to go for. I don't want contact lenses. Should I be all frameless and subtle again, or make some sort of a statement? This statement needs not to go as far as Dame Edna, before you get any ideas. Have you had some new glasses recently? What considerations passed through your mind when choosing?

Hmmm... See now I'm always crap and useless at picking glasses out for myself!

The last pair I got (just over a year ago I think) look like this:

Which I think would suit you as well. (And just in case the pic isn't clear - they are silver half-rims, with a thin-ish rectangular lens.

I generally go for something subtle, but good looking with my glasses - so nothing with massive lenses, but something that makes a bit of a statement.

I'm sure you'll look lovely no matter what you pick tho!
