photoNormal, professional guy living in the Northwest of England. Been working too hard recently and now well down that long road to getting back in shape. Honest as the day is long - tired of games and being messed around. Looking to expand my social circle, so looking to meet other guys of a similar mindset for friendship, chat and exercise.

Just watched the Lost Tales - Voices in the dark last night. Very good writing - but ......

In the first part, as a study of a priest dealing with a failing religion and wrestling with faith and the conflict of temptation it was very good writing.

However I felt it was superficial in the treatment of religion. It was as if they accepted that the possessing creature was a true devil cast down to earth and should be locked there until the end of days.

However we know that religion and the angel - devil iconography was implanted across the entire universe by the Vorlons as part of their plan to control the development of the races and turn them against the Shadows.

It therefore seems more probable that the possessing entity was one of the First ones or similar.

So, where they agents of the Shadows, cast down by the Vorlons? Or were they agents of the Vorlons planted to re-ignite a waning religion as described?

Or were they truly supernatural beings.

The 2nd part was pretty standard fare - pontificating Sheriden choosing the hard path - but I do so hate the technomages - using magic with no basis for the working sof it belittles the story line and the excuse "our order is forbidden to interfere" is so lame.

Any other views?

I watched the DVD when it first came out, and I did enjoy both stories, even though it was a bit weird seeing Lochley 10 years on!

I going to have re-watch again before I can comment on the religious/sociological aspects though!

Will let you know my thoughts when I get round to it!
