I was prescribed orthotics to sort out shin splints about 6 months ago. The prescription is quite 'strong' if that's the right description! |

Well, my guess is the insoles are not the right size. Insoles should help you to prevent injuries, not give you injuries, even if it's just blisters. |

vauxhall_guy is quite right - just a slight misfit will cause you agonies. And the blistered skin will inevitably take a while to heal - you've lost the top layers of skin. Once the area has healed properly, and you have your insoles properly fitting, then a little bit of surgical spirit applied at night to the vulnerable areads will harden the skin. But if your shoes ort your insoles don't fit you, you will keep getting problems. |
