The table after Saturday's games stands as follows:

Team P W D L F A PTS
1 France 2 2 0 0 53 27 4
2 Wales 2 2 0 0 56 34 4
3 Ireland 2 1 0 1 37 37 2
4 Italy 1 0 0 1 11 16 0
5 England 1 0 0 1 19 26 0
6 Scotland 2 0 0 2 21 57 0

If the Six Nations used the bonus point system, the table would be:
Team P W D L F A BP PTS
1 France 2 2 0 0 53 27 1 7
2 Wales 2 2 0 0 56 34 0 4
3 Ireland 2 1 0 1 37 1 37 3
4 Italy 1 0 0 1 11 16 1 1
5 England 1 0 0 1 19 1 26 1
6 Scotland 2 0 0 2 21 0 57 0

The Six Nations is the only major tournament in rugby that does not use the bonus point system:

If the Six Nations used the bonus point system, the table would be:

I messed that up - apologies! Here is the correct alternative table:

Team P W D L F A BP PTS
1 France 2 2 0 0 53 27 1 9
2 Wales 2 2 0 0 56 34 0 8
3 Ireland 2 1 0 1 37 37 1 5
4 Italy 1 0 0 1 11 16 1 1
5 England 1 0 0 1 19 1 26 1
6 Scotland 2 0 0 2 21 0 57 0

Given this approach Wales are not level at the top with France.

The table after Sunday's games stands as follows:

Team P W D L F A PTS
1 France 2 2 0 0 53 27 4
2 Wales 2 2 0 0 56 34 4
3 Ireland 2 1 0 1 37 37 2
4 England 2 1 0 1 42 45 2
5 Italy 2 0 0 2 30 39 0
6 Scotland 2 0 0 2 21 57 0

If the Six Nations used the bonus point system, the table would be:
Team P W D L F A BP PTS
1 France 2 2 0 0 53 27 1 9
2 Wales 2 2 0 0 56 34 0 8
3 Ireland 2 1 0 1 37 37 1 5
4 England 2 1 0 1 42 45 1 5
5 Italy 2 0 0 2 30 39 2 2
6 Scotland 2 0 0 2 21 0 57 0

Only one team, France, have scored four tries in a game (out of a total of six matches).

4 of the six matches have seen the losing side gain a bonus point by losing by seven points or fewer.

4 England 3 2 0 1 66 58 4
5 Italy 3 0 0 3 38 86 0
